Teach-in Session #2 – Craft Cultivation at Scale

February 17th, 2021 - In the second edition of Cresco Labs’ Investor Teach-in Sessions, Drew Duval, Senior Vice President of Cultivation, takes us through a brief history of the cannabis plant, an illustration of the cannabis life-cycle, and explains what it takes to grow craft cannabis at scale.

Speaker Bio: Drew Duval was the CEO & Co-Founder of FloraCal Farms, a premium craft cannabis cultivator in California. Drew joined Cresco Labs through the Origin House transaction in early 2020 and is now tasked with overseeing the Company’s entire cultivation footprint. Mr. Duval led the implementation of propagation uniformity throughout all facilities and is installing best practices across the Cresco Labs cultivation network, including crop steering fertigation methods to increase yield, quality, and uniformity.

 

Teach-in Session #1 – US Cannabis State Markets

October 20th, 2020 - In this first edition of the Cresco Labs Investor Teach-in Sessions, Nathan Reid, Vice President of Commercial Strategy at Cresco Labs, takes us through a state-by-state evaluation of the US cannabis marketplace. Nate also explains why no two cannabis markets are alike, offers his view on the states that are considered to be the most strategic, and discusses how Cresco Labs views the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Speaker Bio: Nate Reid is Vice President of Commercial Strategy at Cresco Labs, supporting the development of retail, wholesale, and acquisition strategy. Reid has extensive experience in both advanced analytics and consulting. Prior to joining Cresco in early 2019, Reid worked in Molson Coors’ Strategic Analytics group, where he led industry analytics and competitive analysis. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.
